Depart at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) and land in Lhasa Gonggar Airport (LXA), with a stopover at Chengdu (recommended), Xian or Beijing, the journey takes from 10.5 hours to 22 hours and costs about MYR 1,501 to MYR 3,930.
Alternatively, you can also choose to enter Tibet by train, which is popular with travelers. Tibet trains are available in many inland cities of China such as Chengdu, Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, etc., and you can enjoy the breathtaking landscape along the famous Qinghai-Tibet Railway. Traveling by train is much cheaper, and most of all, it can help you accolimatize to the high altitude enviroment. Chengdu to Lhasa train costs MYR 677 per soft sleeper(net price).
