Overview
The 4 days classic Sichuan Cultural & Natural Tour covers four World Heritage Sites near Chengdu. First, you’ll enter the “most secluded place in the world” - Mount Qingcheng, full of beautiful scenery and lush greenery. Next, you will witness the magnificence of the Dujiangyan Irrigation System and gain a deeper understanding of its ingenious structure. After that, you will visit the world's largest ancient Buddha statue - Leshan Giant Buddha, to experience its majesty and gain peace of mind. The last stop is Mount Emei, one of the four famous Buddhist mountains. There are numerous Buddhist templs, as well as a wide variety of flora and fauna and stunning natural scenery.

Daily Itinerary
CollapseDepart from Chengdu in the morning to get to Dujiangyan. First, you'll visit the 2000-year-old world heritage site - Dujiangyan Irrigation Project, known as the "ancestor of world water conservancy culture". Stroll along the ancient irrigation canal system, and visit the three major parts: Yuzui, Feishayan and Baopingkou, appreciating the wisdom of the ancient people. Extend to the nearby Erwang Temple to meet Li Bing and his son, who built this ecological project around 256 BC.
In the afternoon, visit the birthplace of Taoism, Mount Qingcheng, which is listed as a "World Cultural Heritage". It is known as "the most secluded place in the world". Enter from the mountain gate, climb the stairs, pass the Rain Pavilion, Tianran Pavilion, Yilewo and Yinsheng Pavilion, then take a cruise through Yuecheng Lake and take the cable car to Shangqing Palace. Continue walking to the Laojun Pavilion, the highest peak of Mount Qingcheng (1260 meters). This pavilion is 33 meters high and it has 9 floors, from the square bottom symbolizing the earth to the round top symbolizing the round sky. At the top of the mountain, you can see the magnificent panoramic view of the entire mountain. Then return the same way.
Stay overnight in Dujiangyan
In the morning, you will drive 2.5 hours from Dujiangyan to Leshan City. Here we're visiting Leshan Giant Buddha, which is the tallest rock Buddha statue in the world. It was initiated and presided over the excavation by a monk during the Tang Dynasty (618–907AD). Visitors also can get to the foot of the Giant Buddha or take a cruise to worship the Buddha from the river.
In the late afternoon, We'll continue to go to the foot of Mt. Emei.
Stay overnight in Emei
Today, you will spend the whole day exploring Mount Emei. In the early morning, you will take the shuttle bus in the Scenic Spot to Leidongpin, then hike to Jieyin Palace to take the cable car up to Golden Summit which is the highest peak of the mountain at 3,077 meters above sea level, you will be amazed by the awe-inspiring view of the Huazhang Temple and enjoy the magnificent view of the clouds, mountains, and forests. Then take the sightseeing bus down to Wannian Temple, you'll experience the beautiful scenery by walking from Wannian Temple, Qingyin Pavilion and Moneky Zone to WuxianGang.
In the late afternoon, go down the mountain by the eco bus and then drive back to Chengdu.
