Hong Kong to Lhasa Flights

The most convenient and fastest way from Hong Kong to Lhasa is by flight. You are suggested to take connecting flights with a stopover in Chengdu as Chengdu is the nearest major traffic hub to Lhasa. There are a few flights each day from Hong Kong to Chengdu, taking about 3 hours. And there are up to 15 flights from Chengdu to Lhasa in a day. So you can select the most suitable flight according to your preference. From Chengdu to Lhasa, it only takes 2 hours and 30 minutes. By the way, you can also arrange a Chengdu trip for yourself if you are interested in seeing lovely pandas. Besides Chengdu, you can also take connecting flights via Chongqing or Xián.

Lhasa is located 2,423km away from Hong Kong. There are two direct flights from Hong Kong to Lhasa per week, on Wednesdays and Sundays starting from 19 February, 2025. And the flight will take around 8 hours.  For other dates, passengers traveling to Tibet from Hong Kong, you can fly to Chengdu, Chongqing, or Xián first then to Lhasa.

After your arrival, you are suggested to spend some days in and around Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet.
